About Botox

Botulinum toxin (Type A), known as botox, is a muscle relaxant drug and is used in medical aesthetic treatments. Botulinum toxin (botox) can be used to treat wrinkles in the face caused by the face’s muscular muscles, e.g. between the eyebrows, in the forehead, around the eyes and mouth. You can also open your eyes and make a small eyebrow lift. Muscle relaxation can also be used for the treatment of nasal cones, cured sore mungipes, wrinkles around the mouth, wrinkled chin and also to lift the lip lash contour and give a sensual mouth.

HOW BOTOX WORKS?

Botox is an injection that blocks the nerve impulse to a muscle that it can no longer be pulled together and the effect of treatment becomes less visible wrinkles and fine lines.

Botox works locally where it is injected, the muscles around are not affected. After treatment the muscle relaxes and the skin becomes smoother and softer. The effect of treatment occurs within 3-5 days. The full effect occurs approximately 1-2 weeks after treatment and stays for 3-6 months. Thereafter, treatment can be repeated approximately every 4th month. On the face we work with very small botox doses and weaken the muscle just as much as needed to smooth out the wrinkle but still keep a mimic on the face.

HOW IS IT BEFORE THE TREATMAN?

Botox is injected with a thin needle in the treatment area. The treatment is simple and no finishing is required. The most common side effects of wrinkle treatment, small bruises may occur that appear for a week. Many of our customers choose to combine botox with fillers injections and achieve very good results.

AFTER BOTOX TREATMENTS

After botox treatment, facial massage in the treated area is not recommended which may cause botox to spread to adjacent muscles and produce undesirable effects. You should not work or shower a sauna for the next 24 hours. In conjunction with first reading, a re-visit can be booked for the purpose of assessing the effect as well as filling the drug to achieve the desired effect.
